Vision and Mission of Canisius College

This educational institution was run by The Jesuit Order. From the day the school opened on 1927,
Canisius has aimed to remain true to its spirit on its protector St. Peter Canisius

(8 May 1521 – 2 December 1597).


Canisius College as a Jesuit School   becomes  a center for educational services for Excellence and faithful prospective leaders.


Realizing a school community that lives the spirit of reconciliation with God, others, and nature in the light of the Catholic faith.

Using the Ignatian Pedagogy Paradigm as the basis for how the school community acts.

Educating students to be competent, conscientious, caring, and committed leaders.

Organizing ongoing formation for educators and education personnel.

Creating a school climate that is healthy, safe and fair.

Developing professional and fair institutional governance.

Students' Pledge

We, students of Canisius College, vow to:

  1. Be loyal to the constitution, Undand-Undang Dasar 1945, and to defend Pancasila as the national foundation.
  2. Uphold our College’s motto: Diligence, Honesty, and Fairness.
  3. Respect our parents and the teachers who represent them.
  4. Build a sense of kinship and appreciation of our college colleagues and others.
  5. Be mindful and realized that we are educated and well-mannered men with faith in God and also democratic citizens who are also responsible for the well-being of the nation and the people.


The Shield symbolizes a strong foundation for educators in guiding their students to grow in 4C (Competence, Conscience, Compassion, and Commitment) and 1L, as well as being a place where students develop themselves in the spirit of 4C.

Symbolizes Christian spirit which is the foundation and special character of the Canisius College.


The year of the founding of Canisius College.


The abbreviation “Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam” means fighting for the greater glory of God.


The color of Marian symbolizes the College of Canisius to have a strong devotion to Our Lady. Striving to create sensitive and caring students.
