SMA Kolese Kanisius is a home where the future leaders of service are formed. The formed future leaders are expected to bring hope for the nation and country since in essence young generations are a generation of leaders who become leaders for themselves and others.
In the future, we are going to face the challenges of industrial revolution 5.0 which on one hand, it should be embraced, but the negative aspects of it should be observed. In this case, visionary leaders are strongly needed. Meanwhile, there are some young generations, specifically students who still doubt; they do not know their goals. Experiences show that plenty of students and teachers are hesitated and confused about determining their study program as well as university which will assist them in reaching their dreams and developing their interest and talents. The twelfth graders will immediately end the level of education at the secondary school level, as well as the tenth and eleventh graders have to determine their respective choices regarding the study program they take in the future.
To assist to students and teachers to achieve the constancy choosing higher education, SMA Kolese Kanisius is going to hold an Education Fair. The existence of sufficient and direct information from SMA Kolese Kanisius, both domestic and foreign university and other educational institution, representatives of embassies and foreign institutions will greatly assist students and parents in choosing the right higher education.
SMA Kolese Kanisius regenerates this spirit in various activities held in THE 19Th CANISIUS EDUCATION FAIR which theme Be the Visionary Leaders.
1. The students and their parents obtain sufficient and direct information from the fair participants.
2. The students can get a better understanding of the faculties they are going to study and choose universities/institutes which suit best their capacities and capabilities.
3. The students and their parents get enlightenment to anticipate the competition faced in the era of industrial revolution 5.0.
The fair will be held into two kinds of sub-events. The first event is Education Talk Show on Sunday, 15 September 2019 at the Sports Hall of SMA Kolese Kanisius. This invites school principals, teachers, education practitioners, parents and students. The keynote speakers and moderator will be Najwa Shihab, Erick Thohir, MBA, Dr. B. Herry Priyono, SJ, (STF Driyarkara Master’s Program’s Chairperson), and practitioners for state and private universities, namely UI, ITB, UGM, and Binus.
The second event is the exhibition of further education which will be held on Saturday, 14 September 2019 and Sunday, 15 September 2019 at 08.30 – 18.00 and 09.00 – 16:00 local time respectively. The exhibition covers seminar for parents of SMA Kolese Kanisius students, university exhibition, university presentation, study program presentation, embassies’ education and scholarship presentation, and students’ admissions in the academic year 2020/2021 exhibition and presentation. Book, food, and drink bazaars are provided to support the fair.

The 19th Canisius Education Fair is targeting Jabodetabek school principals and educational practitioners, students of private and public senior and vocational high schools, as well as parents of SMA Kolese Kanisius students.
